In case of inclement weather, please call (434) 924-SNOW. If the University is operating on a regular academic/work schedule or if employees are granted a grace period to arrive, the event will be held as scheduled. Therefore, NO request for release of obligation or refund will be granted. In the rare circumstance that the University is closed (i.e. classes are cancelled), the event will be cancelled and every attempt will be made to reschedule.
Requests for registration cancellation must be made in writing to the UCS Employer Services and Events Coordinator. Event expenses are incurred based on the number of registrants; therefore, NO request for release of obligation or refund will be granted if received by UCS less than 14 days prior to the event. A full refund will be granted if the request for cancellation is received at least 30 days prior to the event and a refund of 50% will be granted if the cancellation request is received 15-29 days prior to the event.
In confirming registration for this event, you are hereby contractually obligated to the terms set forth herein by statutes of the Virginia Commonwealth via University of Virginia-University Career Services.
The public and/or government organization is hereby placed on notice that failure to pay in full at the time goods or services are rendered or when billed (under the University department’s conditions) may result in the imposition of interest (see Interest Fee reference below) on the unpaid balance. Returned checks will incur a handling fee of $25.00. If the matter is referred for collection to an attorney or to a collection agency, then the debtor will be liable for attorney’s fees or additional collection fees of the unpaid balance. Requesting goods or services will be deemed to be acceptance of these terms.
