The UVA Extern Program has been one of the nation's leaders in the growing trend of placing students in volunteer job shadowing experiences throughout their school breaks. Not only do we strengthen ties with alumni, we have created new partnerships with companies and organizations interested in helping UVA students understand the realities of the work environment. This also provides numerous opportunities for sponsors to pre-screen students for future work and intern opportunities.
