Walk-ins & Counseling

University Career Services offers both counseling appointments and walk-in hours to all students at U.Va. (except those in the Darden, Law and Medical schools, which have their own student and career services). General walk-ins last about 15 minutes and are only for resume and cover letter critiques. If questions are not quick, the counselor will give some starting guidance and then encourage the student to make an appointment.

Unless otherwise indicated, all counseling is at UCS in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium.

General Walk-in Hours

There are no general walk-ins for the remainder of the Summer. Always refer to 434-924-8900 or the UCS website to confirm walk-in times when classes are not in session.

During the semester, walk-ins are Monday through Friday, 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

Appointments

Offered throughout the year, Monday through Friday. Call 924-8900 or come by UCS to schedule a time. General appointments are typically 45 minutes in length.
