Most meaningful/career-defining moment: My most meaningful career experience has been my internship at SUZUKI ENGINE CO., LTD. where I worked as the manager’s secretary. My responsibilities included handling the important documents and resources of the company, dealing with the issues from the interaction of different departments, and assisting my mangers with their daily agenda and future project plans. I also designed a company-wide research about the working and living situation of the labor, collected and analyzed the statistics, and worked out the possible solutions to the problems reflected in the research. This has been my most meaningful internship not only because it was my first one right after I graduated from high school, but it also taught me so much about how to balance the interests of different sides, to deal with both trivial issues and emergencies, and to improve communicational skills. Though it did not directly lead to my future career, the things I learned there helped me tremendously.
