Book of the Month!![]() Find the Bathrooms Firstby Roy J. Blitzer and Jacquie Reynolds-RushIn the workforce, a well-organized resume can secure a seat in the door. Yet, many applicants fail to realize the importance of positioning yourself in the company. The appearance and the interview are the usually the grounds for separation of a hundred applicants with strong resumes. This is why Find the Bathrooms First by Roy J. Blitzer and Jacquie Reynolds-Rush is an asset to those who need to be informed about the steps past finding a job. The book breaks down how to secure your position in the company into three parts. The first part is labeled “Putting you in the position”. This describes the emotions that a person may experience and how to handle them. It is about understanding yourself and what you value in a workplace. Part one closes with the importance of a lasting impression. Part two characterizes the steps to building a strong foundation of trust with the other employees. It states how you should understand the situations in the company, but focus on real solutions. Part three is about expanding your influence in the company and how your work affects people in other departments. Find the Bathrooms First teaches others the necessary tools to enable a healthy and successful experience at the work place. If a person is looking to position himself/herself in a valuable position and find enjoyment, the "bathroom" is the first place to start! This book is available for checkout at the UCS Library.
